Getting started with Scorpion Solitaire

Read the aim of Scorpion Solitaire, then make your first move. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Keep the instructions close while learning this activity. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Build familiarity through play

Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Use the example to check your reasoning.

What counts as success

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.

Start here and follow along

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Using the playing area

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A closer look at one example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Choose a deliberate next step.

A mistake to avoid

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
